"That's it!" These were Derek's last words to me tonight. That's right folks...another one bites the dust...or in my case drowns in the washer.

Here's how it went down...I walk in the door at 9:50p.m. to find my hubbie doing the laundry! I have to admit, I was surprised...I mean I didn't even ask him to do it! WOW! Thanks hon.

Next, I hear him say, "Oh no...not another one..." Yes, that's right...my third to be exact! I tried to blame it on him for not checking the pockets of my jacket before throwing in the load, but that didn't work.

So I guess I am band from this little one for a few lifetimes...

But wait...what if I wore like this? Do you think I would lose it then?

Any one have an extra I could "borrow"???!!! :)

Summer Smarts

Summer is just around the corner… which means school will be out!! To help your child stay on top of their learning and be prepared for the next school year, sign them up for my SUMMER SMARTS program. It is a fun, engaging way for your child to learn and grow throughout the summer.

What is Summer Smarts?
I have created my very own reading and math tutoring approach that is hands-on, interactive, engaging, and geared to your child’s needs. The goal is to build your child’s confidence in reading and/or math by working one-one-one with them in the areas that they need extra help. I believe in positive reinforcement and teaching in a way that your child learns.

When will this begin?
The first session will begin June 16th. Sessions will be held on Mondays of each week or by special request if needed. There will be no tutoring session the week of July 6th.

How much does it cost?
One-on-one 30 minute session: $20.00
One-on-one 45 minute session: $30.00
Group of four 60 minute session: $20.00 per child

Kid’s Kitchen

Kid's Kitchen is a cooking school where boys and girls will learn the basics of cooking and baking! I have had a passion for cooking and baking since I was old enough to help my mom in the kitchen. I am excited to teach kids the basics of cooking in a fun, hands-on, delicious way.

When will this begin?
We will have three sessions, so depending on your summer schedule pick the one that is best for you! Each session will consist of 5 classes.

1st Session (ages 6-8): June 17th-July 22nd (no class the week of July 6th), every Wednesday from 9:00a.m.-10:30a.m. (THIS SESSION IS FULL)

2nd Session (ages 9-12): June 17th-July 22nd (no class the week of July 6th), every Wednesday from 12:30-2:00p.m. (Two spots left!)

3rd Session (ages 6-8): June 17th-July 22nd (no class the week of July 6th), every Thursday from 9:00a.m.-10:30a.m. (THIS SESSION IS FULL)

4th Session (ages 6-8 boys): June 17th-July 22nd (no class the week of July 6th), every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30a.m. (One spot left!)

What will the kid's be learning in each class?
The first class we will be making our very own chef's apron, exploring the five food groups, and learning the basic techniques and tools chef's use in the kitchen. In the following classes the kids will learn how to cook and bake a variety of healthy, nutritious foods that they will be able to recreate at home! At each class the students will be actually baking, cooking, sampling, and writing the recipes of each of the foods they will be learning to make! Finally at the end of our session we will have a CELEBRATION POTLUCK where each of the families will be able to come and taste the delicious success of our future chefs!

TENTATIVE DATE OF CELEBRATION: Wednesday, July 29th at 6:00 p.m.

How much does it cost?
Each session will cost:
$70.00 per student (5 classes @ 90 mins.) + $20.00 fee for an apron, cookbook, supplies, and ingredients = $90.00

In order to guarantee a spot in the class, I am asking for you to pay the upfront fee of $20.00. I will e-mail you my address and you can mail me a check. The rest of the payment will be due on the first day of class.
